Introduction

There are two kinds of ways to define new projects in TECVICO company: i) The projects that a supervisor defines ii) The projects that are defined by somebody else (there is no main supervisor for this kinds of projects) When a new project is defined, a project expert will be associated with it by TECVICO. The following diagram shows the procedure for defining a new project at TECVICO.

Projects defined by a supervisor

To be as a TECVICO supervisor, you must register in the platform, as completely described in Sign in/Sign up section. Next, you must apply for this position. Thus, there are some reequipments such a Ph.D. degree, strong resume etc. to apply for this position. For more information, you should go to REQUEST section and apply for it. A TECVICO supervisor doesn’t need any funds to define a project on the platform necessarily, but she/he is appreciated to considering funds. Fund consideration can led to absorbing experienced researchers and accelerating the project. Thus, a supervisor can go to the dashboard and define a project via clicking on "Define a project” button on “My project” section, as shown below:

Next, the supervisor must first complete the required fields, as shown below. Note: The supervisor must select “Main supervisor” option.

You can follow your project through clicking on “View” button, as shown below:

You can see your project in “Defined project” and “History” sections, as shown below:

If the project team accepts the project, you need to sign a contact. Thus, you must click on “Contract” in “My project” section in dashboard and then find it in “New contract” section, as shown below:

There are some steps to send the signed contract to the project team such as: i) Complete advertisement form, as shown below: This form helps our advertisement team to advertise your project globally. So, the supervisor is strongly recommended to complete this form precisely.

ii) Next, the supervisor must create the project schedule. For this purpose, she/he must set at least three timetables, as shown below. The supervisor must complete this table carefully because she/he must send the progression report in end of each step which she/he defines.

In the end, the supervisor can upload the signed contract, as shown below:

Note: if the supervisor has enough balance, the contract will be sent successfully. Otherwise, she/he will be guided to the payment page to increase her/his balance. If the research team accepts the supervisor’s signed contract, the project will be moved to “New” status, and you can follow it in the “Defined project” or “History” sections. In this circumstance, the supervisor is able to complete the team.

If your contact has been revised, you can find it in “Main supervisor’s contact" and then “Revised contract” section, as shown below:

Note: we strongly recommend the supervisor to address all comments suggested.

Note: In this resubmission case, it is worth saying that the supervisor can not decrease the fund how mush she/he already considered. The new fund can be equal to or greater than the previous fund. Note: it should be considered that any revision that the supervisor makes at this step will be replaced with the previous information provided. Now, you can see your project on the site as a new status. Thus, your project is ready to the researchers to collaborate.

If the reviewer is requested to review the proposal or project, she/he must first go to the dashboard and can find the request through the “My project” section and click on “Review”, as shown below:

After clicking on “Review”, she/he can find two options, “Project evaluation” and “Proposal evaluation” sections, as follows:

The project which is defined by a project owner, not a TECVICO supervisor, can be found in the “Project evaluation” section. Meanwhile, the proposal which is defined by TECVICO supervisor can be found in the “Proposal evaluation” section. After clicking on each of both sections, the reviewer can find the new request in the “New request” section, as follows:

After opening it and clicking on the “View” button of each project, the reviewer can approve or decline to review the project or proposal, as follows in below two figures:

If the reviewer approves to review the project or proposal, she/he is given one week to complete the project or proposal evaluation. To evaluate a project or proposal, the reviewer can find the approved proposal or project in the “Evaluation“ section and click on “View”, as follows:

After clicking on the “View” button, she/he can see the details of the project or proposal. To evaluate the project or proposal, the reviewer can use the “Evaluate & Score” button, as could be shown below:

TECVICO Sectors

TECVICO has three main sectors:

1. Project: It is the fundamental sector. To join TECVICO, all researchers initially need to apply for this sector and after working in this sector and being qualified (obtaining Responsiveness Fee and Badges) they can join other sectors. The main goal of this sector is to find new challenges and scientifically tackle them. The main outcome of this sector is journal and conference publications. Besides focusing on research projects and publications, this sector works with interns to train them for their future careers.

What sector do we start from?

The entrance gate is the project sector. After working in this sector and being qualified by gaining enough Responsiveness Fee and Badges, researchers can join other sectors.

Apply to industry projects

By working in the project sector and acquiring enough Responsiveness Fee and Badges, a researcher will be eligible to join the industrial sector and projects. Obviously, the requirement Res Fee for project members would be different in a way that higher level members need more Res Fees.

Tecvico (Technological Virtual Collaboration) is a Canadian international company founded in Vancouver in 2020. It aims to facilitate the connection between industry and researchers/experts. Tecvico headquarter is located in Canada, and its researchers are collaborating virtually from different countries, such as Portugal, Iran, Canada, Germany, India, and other countries. All levels of researchers (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) can join Tecvico and apply for projects. Current projects are mainly defined in the fields of Artificial Intelligence such as Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. In addition, Tecvico is interested to work in other areas, such as Cryptography, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, etc. There are three components to each project: • Response points • Experience points •Financial value To enter the project, individuals must have earned response points and experience points required for the project. Response points can be earned by cooperating in other activities of the company or by making a financial commitment to the company. Experience points are earned based on your resume and interview and the activities you do at the company. The outputs of a project are the response score, the experience score, and the amount of the project budget, which is divided proportionally among the people participating in the project. If the project has another product such as an article, the points obtained from it will be awarded to its participants.

Entry permissions

Now, we reached the interesting part of TECVICO, Entry permissions!! Entry permissions are entry permits for projects. They are divided into two main classes:

1. Responsiveness Fee (Res Fee):

This indicates how much a member was responsible for projects that he/she already attended. It contains various aspects, such as attending all weekly meetings, being on-time to deliver a task, being responsible for his/her words and behavior, etc. Depending on the responsibility of researchers in different projects, they are assigned points by projects' supervisors. These points could be converted to Responsiveness Fee. If a researcher cannot afford to pay Responsiveness Fee, he/she can work for TECVICO as an intern or a trial member for a while and after gaining enough points, he/she can join a project.

2. Badges :

This Badges shows how much a member knows a subject and how much he/she is skilled in programming, using software and tools. Depending on how much members were successful to use their skills and knowledge to proceed on a project, they are given points. These points are given by supervisors. Based on these points, researchers are awarded Badges. These Badges cannot be traded, and are only acquired through projects. They play a crucial role in getting into Competition and Industry projects. If a member wants more Ress Fee to join projects with more funds, it is recommended to choose projects that suit his/her abilities and complete them in the best possible way.More effort, More (Ress Fee)!

Apply for a Project

You must be a member of TECVICO to apply for projects. After being a member, you need to satisfy the entering requirements of a project.

Money is sweeter than honey!

Payments and bonuses are proportional to a member's contribution for completion of a project. There's a Chinese proverb that says, "If you try, you'll be rewarded!!

How to Apply for Projects

After registering on TECVICO website, a section called "Projects" will be shown in your dashboard, and by selecting that, you will enter the projects page. On this page, you can choose the type of projects you want from "Project" sector. Finally, by clicking on the "New" tab, you can see all the newly defined projects, along with their information, including their names, abstracts/requirements/support of the project, start and end dates, their collaborators, and the required (Res Fee) to join them. To apply for any of these projects, you must have the minimum required (Res Fee) to join that project. Be careful in choosing projects since by choosing a project that is not suitable for you, you might lose all of your initial (Res Fee). So, choose projects that fit your skills, abilities, and interests.

Joining TECVICO

If you want to be a member of TECVICO, click on http://tecvico.com. At the top-right corner of the Home page, click on "Join Us" and insert your information, upload your resume, and then click on "Register". Be careful! Project Members

Each project includes a "Supervisor" as a project manager, a "Mentor" as an advisor, a "Member" as a project member, and a "Learner" as an intern. Required (Res Fee) to join a project are different for each role, and higher roles need more (Res Fee) . You can join a project as a learner and earn (Res Fee) by proceeding on that project, but unlike other roles, you would not get other project's benefits, such as publication benefits.

What are Projects' Benefits?

Projects' benefits are different and are only given after completing projects. They can be:

  • 1. Financial benefits (money) based on your contributions in a project.
  • 2. Scientific and Publication benefits (having your names in scientific publications).
  • 3. Having work experience in an international company and adding that to your resume.
  • 4. Receiving a certificate (after confirmation) from TECVICO.

TECVICO Progress = Your Progress

The whole company and its members are like the organs of a body and have common goals. To achieve these goals, TECVICO and its members are aligned and need each other to move forward. The progress and loss of TECVICO directly affect the progress and loss of the members, and vice versa.

Future plans and directions of TECVICO

TECVICO aims to continue the course of development in different fields and grant branches in different countries around the world.

What researchers can apply for TECVICO?

All levels of researchers (beginner, intermediate, and advance) can join TECVICO and apply for projects. The current projects are mainly defined in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. In addition, TECVICO is interested in working on other fields, such as Cryptography, Electrical, Mechanical, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, etc.

There are three components to each project:

• Responsibility coin
• Knowledge coin

It contains various aspects, such as attending all weekly meetings, being on-time to deliver a task, being responsible for his/her words and behavior, etc. Depending on the responsibility of supervisors in different projects, they are assigned points by the company. These points are convert-able to Responsiveness Coins. These coins have financial value and can be bought/sold. The applicants basically need responsibility and knowledge coins to apply for these projects. There are 3 ways to obtain responsibility coins as follows: i) initial fee ($) to buy the coins, ii) work in some sections of the company and responsibility coins will be paid the applicant as his/her wage, and iii) corporate in projects and receive the coins as reward toward accomplishing the project. In fact, this kind of coin evaluates and motivates members to attend in all weekly meetings, be on-time to do assigned tasks, be responsible for his/her words and behavior etc. The applicants will be provided with knowledge coins via i) scientific interview, and ii) accomplishing and promoting his/her knowledge in the project.

TECVICO sections

TECVICO is divided into two sections:

Now, we reached the interesting part of TECVICO, Entry permissions!! Entry permissions are entry permits for projects. They are divided into two main classes:

1. Project section

Projects basically are referred to this section. Some time, small industrial projects will also be associated with this section. To join TECVICO, all applicants must apply for some projects in this section unless they are able to receive a minimum knowledge coin via the interview process. After passing this section and qualifying (obtaining responsibility and knowledge coins), applicants can join other sections. TECVICO invites international laboratories, university professors, industry companies, governments, factories etc. to give the project to us. In Particular, we will provide the university professors and lab supervisors with experts. As it is obvious, the professors are undertaking some big projects from industries or governments. They divide the project into smaller parts and then hire some students and researchers to do it. The divisions most often include various fields or interdisciplinary projects, and the lab members might not be expert in some fields. In this case, the supervisor can give a section of the project to TECVICO. Thus , TECVICO promises to provide the project with experts and lead it to be accomplished. Sometimes, a project is assigned to a researcher/student and s/he is not able to accomplish it. In this case, TECVICO can collaborate with the lab and provide the group with a professional teammate. After completing the project, the members will be provided with i) responsibility coins, ii) knowledge coins, and iii) wage ($) (if the project was already funded). If the project also results in an article, the members will be considered as the authors based on their effort and supervisor’s/company’s rule.

2. Workshop section:

This section offers a platform to hold global or local workshops. It also creates an environment for interested people to follow and participate in advanced workshops. It also supports experienced scientists to transform their knowledge to other people worldwide as well as facilitating the related workshops.

Structure of members in a project

Each project includes 4 categories as follows:
