The oldest devices that have been used to meet human needs since ancient times are pumps, the types of which from several thousand years ago until now, first in agriculture and water transfer from the depths of the earth to its surface and then with progress. Science, technology, and technology have found their place in all industrial fields, so it can be claimed that industry cannot exist without pumps. Experience shows that many pump distress events (failures) have their root cause in the misalignment of the pump to the motor. Misaligned pumps can even consume up to 15% more energy input than well-aligned pumps.
