About Tecvico

Visualized & Standardized Environment for Radiomics Analysis

Tecvico is developed by the Quantitative Radiomolecular Imaging and Therapy (Qurit) lab at the University of British Columbia and BC Cancer Research Institute in Vancouver, Canada. Our mission is to make standardized, reproducible radiomics research accessible to the global medical imaging community.

Standardized Radiomics for Everyone

Medical imaging research demands reproducibility. Tecvico addresses the fragmentation of radiomics pipelines by providing IBSI-compliant preprocessing, feature extraction, and workflow management in a single open-source platform — replacing the legacy Matlab-based SERA with a modern Python ecosystem.

What We Offer

Core Capabilities

IBSI Compliance

Feature extraction standardized against IBSI 1.0 and image filters validated against IBSI 2.0.

Reproducible Workflows

Design, save, and share end-to-end analysis pipelines with full parameter documentation.

Open Source

Free for non-commercial research under CC BY-NC-SA. Community contributions welcome on GitHub.

Collaboration

Built for multi-institutional studies with exportable configs and harmonized preprocessing.

Timeline

From SERA to Tecvico

Tecvico began as a ground-up rewrite of SERA (Standardised Environment for Radiomics Analysis), the Matlab-based platform used by hundreds of research groups worldwide.

2021 — Development started at Qurit Lab, UBC.

2023 — Tecvico presented at IEEE Medical Imaging Conference.

2024 — Public beta release with Windows installer and Discord community.

2025 — Version 1.0 stable release with full IBSI 2.0 filter support.
